Something unclear?

Common questions are answered automatically so you get a reply sooner. Everything else is read by a person. Include your macOS version and what you were doing — that is usually enough. support@filyxa.com

An automated reply is drawn from the documented answers on this page. It can be wrong. Reply to it and a person takes over. Reports about lost files, crashes, security or your data rights are never answered automatically.

Why does it ask for a folder?

FILYXA has no shortcut to your Desktop, Downloads or Documents. It only sees folders you hand it through the macOS dialog. Once granted, the access is remembered and survives restarts.

If a folder needs granting again, macOS revoked the permission — usually after moving the folder or reinstalling the app.

How do I get everything back?

Open History and press Undo on the run. Every file returns to its exact original location. If a name has been taken meanwhile, FILYXA appends rather than overwrites.

One limit, stated plainly: files sent to the Trash can only come back while they are still in the Trash.

Why was a large file left behind?

Anything above the size threshold — 1 GB by default — is never moved automatically. It waits for you under Needs your decision. You can change the threshold, but the rule does not bend.

A rule never matches. What is wrong?

Within one rule, extensions and the name pattern are combined with and, not or. For an either/or, use two rules.

Rules are plain JSON. Rules → Show rules file opens it; Reset to defaults restores the shipped set.
