Not personal data, not anonymised data, not aggregated statistics, not crash reports. The app has no account, no server, and nothing to opt out of. This is not only a promise — it is a property of how it is built. Email you send to support is the one exception, described below.
FILYXA ships with the macOS App Sandbox enabled and declares exactly three entitlements:
com.apple.security.app-sandbox com.apple.security.files.user-selected.read-write com.apple.security.files.bookmarks.app-scope
There is no network entitlement. Without com.apple.security.network.client, macOS itself refuses to let the app open an outgoing connection. Verify it on your own machine:
codesign -d --entitlements - /Applications/FILYXA.app
Only inside the one folder you grant it, and only its top level: names, sizes and dates; macOS metadata such as when a file was last opened and which site it came from; file contents when comparing two files for being byte-for-byte identical.
Text in PDFs and screenshots only if you switch content analysis on. It runs on your Mac using PDFKit and Vision. No document, image or file name leaves the machine.
Your settings and rules, a log of every run so any run can be undone, and a cache of content-analysis results. All of it lives in the app's own sandbox container: ~/Library/Containers/studio.gar.fileorganizer/
Moving the app to the Trash and emptying it removes this folder with everything in it.
FILYXA can only see folders you select through the standard macOS dialog. Your choice is remembered using a security-scoped bookmark, stored locally and valid only for this app. You can revoke it under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files and Folders.
No analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no cloud storage, no AI service, no payment provider.
All of this describes the app. Email you send to support is handled separately — see Support email below.
The app collects no data from anyone, and therefore none from children.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The app has no network access and cannot notify you — this page is the record.
Writing to support@filyxa.com is the one place where FILYXA processes personal data. The app is not involved and never sees it.
What is processed: your email address, your message, and anything you attach.
Why: to answer your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in answering support requests.
How: messages are classified by fixed rules on the mail server, and for documented standard cases the stored answer is sent unchanged. No text is generated, no message is passed to a language model, and nothing is transferred to a third country.
Attachments are never opened automatically: a message with an attachment always goes to a person. The same applies to messages about lost files, crashes, security, legal claims or data protection rights. Every automated reply says that it is automated and how to reach a person.
Retention: support email is deleted after 6 months.
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
Controller within the meaning of the GDPR: Giuseppe Antonio Raffaele, Berliner Allee 58, 64295 Darmstadt, gar@filyxa.com.
